The Proverbial Fork in the Road

For the first time in a while I don’t know what to do with my summer. Do I use it to improve my career opportunities by taking an internship? Do I get a full-time job? Or do I savor my free time and use it to serve and take care of my family? Do I get a part-time job at the mall and work my summer away. Honestly I’m not sure.

But who am I kidding? Does it matter? What are the implications? I’ll I’m sure of is that I don’t want to let this summer waste away. Its easy to know what to do when life is black and white. Sometimes I wish it was but what about the grey-ness of it all? Who will shed light upon my circumstances?

That’s when I turn to God. My friendship with God is what makes me different from everyone else my age. He’s like a wise sensei who always drips with wisdom. Even more when he’s not saying anything. Even though I don’t know what to do now I know that he will illuminate my situation and give me wisdom.
